Another popular out-of town attraction is the waterfall in Kota Tinggi, 56km away from Johor Bahru.

The water cascades from a height of 32m down a steep precipice into a pool deep enough for swimming. It is a good spot to take in the fresh mountain air.

There are Swissstyle chalets equipped with cooking facilities. At the base of the falls there are also public changing rooms, camping grounds, and a restaurant.

 On the outskirts of Kota Tinggi is Johor Craft Village, a centre for handicraft and cultural performances.
